[Post-edit correction: Upon closer examination, the first link is "Unoffocial", while the second one is. I wondered how some guy could get the domain name for something like this and wondered if it was a spoof, since GQ is supposed to be a fictional series. Neat concept, though (ansd economical, too). It doesn't look any more elaborate than many of our Trek fan sites.]

Isn't the "aliens think fake stuff is real and it causes trouble" story getting a bit old? Offhand, I can think of twice that I've seen it recently: Voyager's "Tinker, Tailor, Doctor, Spy", and tonight's episode of Futurama...

What's even funnier is the mock web page the producers have set up. It's supposedly the site of a devoted fan and is a brilliant parody of amateur websites right down to the broken links, obessive nitpicking and computer nerd bio.

I saw an ad on TV, for the movie. Looks pretty good. I don't like Tim Allen, but I may have to go see this. Shatner should have been in this.
