Alrightie, for those who know, I tried to install my new motherboard for a 3rd time. Still, it did not work, and I installed my old motherboard but with disasterous results. Upon setting up everything, I recieved 3 errors:

CMOS Checksum bad
CMOS Display type wrong
CMOS Settings bad

Despite several attempts to fix this, I have been without a comp for a week now. I have been posting and talking via the computer labs and my generous roommate.

Tonight, though, I have bought some pc100 SDRAM(the kind my new motherboard runs best with) and I will hopefully have my computer up and running this weekend.

Don't know how, but now I got pc100 ram and I'm going to put the new mb in. :-) Maybe you'll see me online soon!

certainly Checksum usually refers to memory problems. But it's not an error I've seen in conjuction with the wrong memory type, say trying to use 100MHz memory on a MB not compatible with this fairly new type. But give it a go. . .
