This should probably go to the flameboard, but it's important enough to merit the wider readership of the lounge. According to TrekToday, the DS9 finale is tobe released split into 2-parts, and not as shown in the US. Also, they report that to do this, severl scenes HAVE BEEN CUT! ------------------ "You will be swept away.... You, your men, your ship, your WORLDS!"

why would they do that - sounds like a nasty rumour to me... since the UK and Australian releases are nearly the same - there are only 4 more episodes to go...the two more individual episodes 7.12 and the two-parter finale 7.13... exactly two tapes... why would they in the last video of DS9 ever - thats like 80 videos or something not to mention all the TOS, TNG and Voyager videos break with tradition... don't believe it... the only annoying news I heard about the release of 7.13 is that it will probably be in January not both 7.12 and 7.13 in December... Ah no, you misunderstand Andrew. It's exactly the thing they did with 'All Good Things...'. 'What you leave behind' is on tape 7.13, but it's two individual episodes, with a cliff-hanger in the middle, rather than one long episode like the CIC 4.1 version of 'Way of the Warrior', or the special version of 'Best of Both World's'.They did this with the final TNG tape, and in order to fit in the 'last time on Star Trek...' bit, they have to cut out a bit of the episode itself. They'll probably do what they did with the TNG finale, which is release a 'special TV-movie' version, without the episode break in the middle, and with the extra scences in, including Troi explaining to Picard about their past-relationship with Riker, and Q appearing as an old-bloke. BTW, this isn't true of 'Emissary', as the CIC vid version of that is the original uncut version. It has some differences with the two-part version now seen on TV in the UK and the States, including O'Brien's final visit to the Enterprise and other stuff. ------------------ "Give me a f*cking..." -Jubilee McGann

I've never seen the full version of "AGT...".------------------ Elim Garak: "Oh, it's just Garak. Plain, simple Garak. Now, good day to you, Doctor. I'm so glad to have made such an... interesting new friend today." (DS9: "Past Prologue")
