After leaving school about 15 years ago, I decided that I wanted to become a computer programmer. To cut a long story short, I got side-tracked into DTP work, which was fun, but it wasn't computer programming.

Then came the Internet, followed by me learning HTML, Javascript and putting together TGL and the rest, and all that's been followed what happened on Monday, when I got a new job as a Web Developer for a nice little company just outside town. I start next year, and for the first time in almost 2 years, I'll be working in the daytime. I feel as if I'm back, as a programmer, after many years.

TGL has played a BIG part in me getting this job (along with some nice Javascript/DHTML code which will debut with "The Races" update later this year), so I would like to say "thanks" to every one who has supported the site over the years.

What this means is that the chances of me updating TGL on a more regular basis throughout the week will go up somewhat from next year, maybe say 2 updates per week instead of 1 update per month which unfortunely seems to be the norm at the moment. Who knows? Maybe I'll even get around to answering all of that e-mail...

Remember that, and charge their doings on themselves, not us."
