While out Christmas Shopping (ugh), I was at Barnes and Nobles, and I happened upon a book called "The Trekkers Guide To The Internet", and upon flipping through it, I found it was just a list of Star Trek Websites. But, then I happened upon a page that looked familiar. It was a picture of....THE TNO FORUMS. It was a picture of the front page, with the names of the moderators clearly visible (The Vorlon, Elim Garek, and Frank G were the ones that stuck out!). So, I flipped to the glossary to see what else was there. Pedro's Shiporama, with a review in the back! The Great Link! (listed under humor and news)Star Trek Starships Expanded! The ORIGINAL Utopia Planitia! The copyright on this book is 1999, so it's pretty recent, but I guess this guy didn't check up on his links (since there is no mention of Utopia II or III). And, no, unfortunatly, Solarflare is not listed. Did you guys knows your sites were going to be in this book?

Wow, I knew UP was in there, but TNO!? Excellent! Well done, Adam!

Yeah, I knew that UP was going to be in it - ChrisG got a mail about it... he set up links at the original URLs pointing to UP3.

I'd heard TNO Forums were going to be in this but I didn't realize it was out yet. Cool

It sounds like there are some other cool places listed in there too - I'll have to have a look at it next time I'm by the bookstore.

Woohoo! I registered there slightly before I registered here, so I guess those would be my home fora.

???

I would think that "fora" would be the plural of "forum". Any Latin scholars here to confirm or deny this suspicion?

Kren: They actually reprinted some graphics off your page, IIRC. TNO had some full-page screenshots.

Yes, "fora" is plural for "forum". Buut I don't know why I didn't think of it first, seeing as I'm the one who even pluralizes starship names irregularly (Promethei, Nebulae, Mirandae, etc.). :-)

I doubt the practical value of such a book. It may have been well-researched (although my site is probably missing ), but it takes at least half a year from the latest addition, until it is finally published. About every forth link should be dead or moved by then. In the age of electronic communication, nothing is as old as a printed book. Only lasting information should be printed at all.

Yeah they have a Website too its at :

http://www.brbpub.com/iig/startrek

There you can even register your own site so that it can come out in the next edition and you can also order it there.

Is it "The Trekkers Guide to the Internet" or
"the Incredible Trekkers Guide to the Internet" or are they the same thing ?

There is also an Incredible Internet Guide to Starwars
