In Perl, for instance, the year is returned as the current year minus 1900. In the 20th century this was a two digit year but not anymore. In the C standard library the time.h header can also give the year - 1900, IIRC.<P>In any case these problems result from someone seeing a year like 99 returned and assuming a two digit year system. Then they might stick a 19 in front of the 'two digit year'.
