The only two songs I know by TMBG is "Istanbul" and "Particle Man", mostly because of the Tiny Toons music videos. My question is...

Are there any other TMBG songs that are as humorous and catchy as they were? If so, I think I'll add them to my collection of songs :-)

Have you ever seen a person bristle? If not, mention the words comedy and TMBG in the same sentence and watch my reaction.

However, since you've stated your position rather well, I see no reason to go into that.

First of all, let me ask you a question. Why exactly do you consider either Particle Man or Istanbul (Not Constantinople) to be funny? Or rather, what about them is funny?

I ask because I get the feeling that what you consider to be uproarious in a TMBG song is not the same as what I would. For instance, Purple Toupee is pretty funny, because the Flower Children spend the entire Summer of Love trying to change the world, and thirty years later they're all yuppies with cellphones, having lost everything they ever believed in.

Having said that, I think I'd recommend you'd pick up the album Flood. Not only does it contain those two songs you like, but a whole album's worth of other great songs you should like, all in a...pseudo-similar style. Plus it references the Young Fresh Fellows and the dB's.

Don't take this as an attack, Sol. The Tiny Toons music videos of those songs where humorous and I thought that there might be more like that...

Oh, I didn't. I was aiming for mildly sarcastic wit, rather than defensive mode. At any rate, my questions still stand. What about the songs appealed to you? That will help in deciding which ones you'd like. (Though the default answer is: All of them.) I think Flood is still a good choice.

Yeah, I found "They Might Be Giants" and "Someone keeps moving My Chair"...

I'm not sure what made them humorous, just that they were catchy and funny to listen to...I guess I'm still imagining Plucky Duck getting squashed by some huge guy...
