Ever wonder how many genes there are in the human body?? Do you like to bet on anything from the number of fleas on your dog to the number of goals your co-ed soccer team will score??

Well, then....the Gene Sweepstake or "Genesweep" is here!!!

The Gene Sweepstake will run between 2000 and 2003.

If you use terms or phrases like

"A gene is a set of connected transcripts. A transcript is a set of exons via transcription followed (optionally) by pre-mRNA splicing."

"At least one transcript must be expressed outside of the nucleus and one transcript must encode a protein."
