Yep, I thought that'd get your attention. Anyway, it's all a matter of preference.

I just got the new Placebo album today(it was released here yesterday), "Black Market Music",I'll have a good listen to it tonite. I think Placebo must me one of the most underrated bands at the moment, their first two albums are nothing short of sublime.

I just wanted to hear your opinions, which I hold in such high regard.

Placebo: A medicine designed to have absolutely no effect.

No, really, I've never heard the band, so I have no legitimate comment.

Hey, yeah Placebo are pretty good (the don't beat Radiohead though)

What's the song... Every-you Every-Me or what ever - with the girl walking up the side of a building...

And the latest one Man something...

Not bad.

Pure Morning has the lead singer (male) walking along the side of the building.

Yeah, they don't seem to be that big in America, the band is European.

I listened to the new album last night and I wasn't disappointed. Make sure that you listen to the bonus track if you get it, though, it's the title track, strangely enough.

My opinion of the band is informed entirely by their first single. It also isn't entirely kind, so do you really want to hear it?

(Of course, I'll probably just wind up parroting Pitchfork's review back at you, so you could just read that instead. Though their fauning over Kid A...well, different strokes.)

Mind you, they don't much care for Soul Coughing it seems, and they don't approach TMBG the right way, if that's any consolation.

All good writers do.

Actually, I tend to agree with you. Pitchfork just doesn't fit in with my tastes, it seems, or at least my approach to music.

But I have to say, in this case, I agree with the general sentiment.

It's been awhile, but I don't think the girl in the video is in any of the building shots.

In the interests of putting my money where my mouth is, I submit that in fact XTC's "Wasp Star" is the greatest album to come out of the UK this year. Though admittedly it isn't really anything like Radiohead or Placebo.

We're making albums now?

*wispers to guy sitting next to him* "Have you ever heard of XTC?"

*guy looks at me strangely, picks up his stuff, and slowly backs towards the door*

Why does that always happen? Tsk, some people get really funny about nakedness...
