See, now I feel like an old brown shoe. It isn't that I'm against political discussion in the Lounge...
Well, actually it is. I mean, this is a personal quirk, I admit, but the U.S. has been thrusting for months, and now that we're spent I think I'd like to roll over and go to sleep. Please honey? Please?

And I posted this in Incomming Hail, where obviously no-one would read it. Since EACH AND EVERY LETTER I write is pure silkly goodness, I will paste it here as well. For no reason, other than it's about Sol, and Sol it in the heading. (Well, it's about Simon wanting his own forum for talk about him, which is fair enough. Plus, I haven't had any orders yet, and I need the money. My kids need milk!)
I fully support the "Sol System" forum, and as a bonus, I will soon have available a high-quality selection of genuine "Sol System" merchandise, from Crappola. Yes, Sol System T-shirts. Diary's with the wit of Simon Sizer on every page. Toilet paper made out of the skin flakes that fall from S.S.'s skin every day, carefully collected and remade into the highest quality bog-roll.
And now, Sol System can be cloned to order! That's right, for every 100 posts in the "Sol System is god and should be worshipped by everyone all the time for ever and ever" forum will be rewarded with your very own copy of Simon "enormous shaft" Sizer. Available with or without clothes, and with wit and charm available for only $5 extra.
Coming soon: The "Oh my god Omega, will you just shut
your fucking mouth before I ram a golf-club down your
throat and use you on the driving-range" forum. Free gun, bible, and Ad-honiumargument available on entry.

I am going to buy Japanese cars from now on, because the auto workers got the day off to vote and the state went to Gore, so I want to see how many we can get unemployed.

9 hours...that's SAD. Bet I could do it in 7 or 8. and how do you get LOST in Connecticut?!? Enter the state here in Danbury on 84. Follow it until it leaves the state up in Union & enters Massachusetts. Where's difficulty?
Sounds like operator error t'ME...

I'll best it next time.
I've leaving Towson at 9:30ish am on Tuesday, driving north into Pennsylvania towards Scranton, then turning onto 84 through NY into Connecticut for Thanksgiving.

When I went to Otakon, we did:
84 to 684
684 to 287 over the Tappan Zee to 87
87 to the Garden State Parkway
GSP to Jersey Turnpike
NJT (which is basically 95) over the Delaware Memorial Bridge & bolted right into MD, whence we took the Loop around & ran 80 straight into the city.
It seems like a lot of tolls, but it's not. Tappan Zee only hits you like $3 northbound, Jersey Turnpike only hits you once, & the GSP is 35 cents ever like 8 miles or something. Plus Jersey doesn rest stops like nobody's fuckin' business, man.

If anyone here has been in that area, where 83 intersects 695 (just north of Baltimore), you've been about 1/2 mile from where I live and go to school ... so, well ... pointless info, but now you know.
And knowing is half the battle
Besides, I'd rather just run 83 north to 81, stop in Scranton to say "hi" to my aunt & grandma, then jump 84 east ...

But my point is that I am supa-dope fly. And that three, four hour drives are almost commonplace in Eastern Washington.
I have new glasses, too. Or rather, have had new glasses for a few months now. No one seems to notice.
