Does anyone know how to purchase items wholesale? I bought a Marto sword (Connor MacLeod's) off eBay a month ago or so for $60, and just sold it yesterday (on eBay, again), for $275, giving myself a very nice profit. Anyway, I'd like to keep this up! But I don't know how to buy wholesale, and I don't want my inventory to depend on items I'm purchasing from other eBayers ... Thanks. ------------------ Star Trek Gamma Quadrant Rated 7 out of 10 Smileys by Fabrux

Depends on what you what to sell, as far as contacting the appropriate people. For my vacuum store I contacted a company named ESSCO and bought the majority of my supplies from them, which I retailed in my store. ------------------ Well, it's done, yes, the deed is done.

Of course I'm a capitalist. Who doesn't like an almost 300% profit? I'm also a strong supporter of certain social programs. So I'm a socialist capitalist. ------------------ Star Trek Gamma Quadrant Rated 7 out of 10 Smileys by Fabrux

Socialist Capitalist? Hm... "I work and earn profits, and willingly give it away to people who don't." *Bludgeons evil self and reminds him that this ain't the Flameboard.* Whatever.Well if you're doing things legally, it'll be considerably less than a 300% profit, since you technically still have to pay federal and state taxes on it, to support said social programs you're in favor of. Not if its a private sale between two people ... garage sales don't get taxed, do they? If I started doing it as a business, yes, I'd pay my fair share of taxes (and be more than willing to do so). Wait. You know, I'd build the tax into the S&H cost so that the bidder would really be paying the taxes. Hm. Possibly different places have different rules, but I think that all person-to-person sales above a certain $ amount are technically supposed to be taxed. garage sales rarely reach that amount. There are some silly tax laws like that, which is why sometimes parents have to file a tax return for their grade-school-aged child. Oh, well, it's probably not important enough to check. ------------------ "Ed Gruberman, you fail to grasp Ty Kwan Leap. Approach me, that you might see." -- The Master

They tend to overlook a lot of stuff. For instance, I don't pay taxes on my tips OR mileage ... but I do pay it on what I make hourly wage. So ... who knows? ::shrug:: ------------------ Star Trek Gamma Quadrant Rated 7 out of 10 Smileys by Fabrux
