I recently heard of a corporation called the Specialty Merchandise Corporation, or SMC. According to what I've heard, the SMC allows people to make money by buying thier products at very low prices and then sell them for a profit. What I want to know is whether or not this is another scam. Can anyone fill me in?

Well, it could be a scam, but it's also possibly bona fide. There are sites where people can vote on products to buy in bulk at a low price (eg. letsbuyit.com), so it's conceivable that that SMC thing you heard about does something similar.
