My list thus far:
"Sing, Sing, Sing"
"Still, Still, Still"
"This Land" ("The Lion King")
"Star Trek 4" Main Title
"Jurassic Park" Main Title
"Batman" Main Title
"The Terminator" Main Title
"Back to the Future" Main Title
"Olympic Theme and Fanfare", by John Williams
"Duel of the Fates", from Star Wars
'Little' Fugue in G Minor, by Bach
Sixth Brandenburg Concerto, Third Movement, by Bach
"Palladio"/"Diamond Music", by Karl Jenkins
"The Trial", from Chrono Trigger
Anyone know any other good band songs? I prefer reasonably well-known ones, or movie themes, so that there's a chance of finding a score in print; or at least a MIDI file, so that a score can be arranged. Just anything that you think might sound good played by an ensamble, really. Any suggestions?

Seriously, you want suggestions as to what songs are out there? Then I would ask about the composition of your band?

What sort of band plays stuff from Benny Goodman's Sing, Sing, Sing to Bach's Little' Fugue in G Minor.
Mine, I hope.
I would ask about the composition of your band
Typical High School band, with a little less variety in instruments than you'd expect. We can get any percussion needed. We have soprano clarinets, flutes, piccolos, trumpets, alto saxes, trombones (perhaps singular next semester), a French horn, and two baritones, plus a bass clarinet (your's truely) and a tenor sax. We can get a tuba or piano, if needed. We MAY have an oboe next semester, but no promises.

Hmm...I'd love to hear Back to the Future and the Terminator theme from that list you have.
You mean actually played in real life? So would I. That's why I suggested them.
Of course, there are MIDIs available.
Tom:
If you could do a band arrangement of "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls I'd be immeasurably impressed.
Just for you, I may look that one up and do it. I'm not turning it in as a suggestion, of course.
Thanks, Frank, I'll look that one up.
Any other ideas?

There's an arragement of Siegfried's Funeral March that would work nicely with that sort of composition. It's from Richard Wagner's Die Gotterdammerung. I played this arrangement in high school, but, alas, I can't remember who did the arrangement. The Hounds of Spring is another piece I played in high school that could work for ya'll. The composer's name is Reed (I'm pretty sure on that). If you have an awesome clarinet player, try Immer Kleiner (it's basically a long clarinet solo with band interludes). And, of course, you should be able to find a reasonable arrangement of Aaron Copland's Appachalian Spring or Rodeo.
If you want to try marches, Fanfare for a New Age is one I played in college. It's a march with a modern and somewhat techno-ish twist.

What level of music are you playing? 3,4?
Know that Mark Williams writes/arranges good material for small bands that may not have the best or ideal instrumentation, from husband's choice of music for his 6-12 grade bands.

Nimmie:
No, I don't think we have anyone who'd be willing to sing in Sanskrit.
We'll just have the flutes play that part. It works quite well in the MIDI.
Shik:
Y'all need some strings.
That may be, but then we'd be an orchestra, not a band.
Though we have at least one girl who plays the violin...
The sad thing is that aside from "Bald Mountain", I've never heard any of these, and can't find MIDIs...

That's enough songs to hold us for the next three years. Maybe she'll use one of them.
"And your husband wants to be...a girl".
If you're having Chrono Trigger, why not try some of the Final Fantasy pieces? Aeris' theme from FFVII is beautful, and should be really easy to do. There's loads of midi files too.
Oh, and witch Batman theme is that? The "Na na na na" 60s one (funny), the firsty two movie and cartoon Danny Elfman one (brilliant, but bloody hard), or the last two movies one (eh, okay)?
"The Libery Belle", if you want a classic, traditional march that's also the theme to Monty Python. I think everyone knows it already though.
Howsabout John Williams "Olympic Spirit". It's very good, if hard. There's a good medley arrangement out there that has Raiders, the Imperial March, and then The Olympic Spirit. It sounds good.
There's also a really, really good Star Wars arrangement for wind band out there that you could possibly adapt. It's quite hard, but it has the main theme, the rebel theme, Yoda's Theme, The Imperial March, Leia's Theme, and the Throne Room Finale. The segue (however you spell it) from Yoda's theme to the Imperial March is quality.
I think we HAVE that SW medley, actually. We had to drop it last semester because the trumpets and saxes couldn't get it together.
Or are you talking about the piano duet MIDI I have? It's cool, too. Extremely cool.
It's the Elfman Batman, the one from the first two movies. Opens "dum, duM dUM DAAH, DAAHH, DAAHHHH".
Hmm... Olympic Spirit?
*finds, downloads, and listens to an absurdly large MIDI*
Cool beans!
As for the Simpsons, it's just cool.
There's a few other Olympic marches Williams has done. I think the Olympic Spirit is the one with the cool Trumpet fanfare.
While Tim's right that a lot of American's might not have seen Monty Python, Sousa is the most famous writer of march music ever. Surely the Libery Belle has some fame over there?
*ducks*
Anyway, my point was that people wouldn't recognize it as "the theme song from that silly old Brit show".
