After this member number thing showed up, I've noticed something, CC isn't Member #1, but #9, so if the admin is #9, then who is #1??

Posted by Shik (Member # 343) on :

Oh, come ON! I thought we ALL knew...

NO one is more #1 than Sol's spike of love.

Although Omega's mom came in at a VERY close #2.

Well, I already found out, but if anyone else wants to know, profiles 1 and 2 were corrupted and they don't exist

Posted by Hobbes (Member # 138) on :

::smack infinity::

I already pointed that out. And Capps explained the process.

Posted by Mucus (Member # 24) on :

So who ends up having the lowest member number and "does" exist anyways?

Posted by Waka (Member # 36) on :

Profile 1 was Admin5, the generic first account installed with the UBB.

Posted by Mucus (Member # 24) on :

Altair was spotted with #4
if 1 and 2 are corrupted, we just have to determine the status of #3...and this thread is done

Posted by Waka (Member # 36) on :

#3 is none other than Adam Bauer.

Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :

As I explained in the other thread...

I rearranged the profiles a bit - I sorted the numbers by registration date.

In the case of multiple people registering on the same day, I sorted those profiles by name.

There were 70-something registrations on 03/12/1999. In the sort, Adam is number 1, and I'm number 7.

The original admin profile for this board an Admin5 (numbers 1 and 2 respectively) went corrupt a LONG time ago and were deleted after the conversion, making me number 9 and Adam number 3.

Ah....good to see I have a nice low number

Posted by Nimrod (Member # 205) on :

I wrote about these things in some other thread. Adam Bauer is the oldest, although with only 9 posts under his belt, and someone called J is the most recent, No. 604 I think.

I wonder who has the most posts? Should land at about 5000+, right? If May/April 1999 was the start date...

Yeah, 359's stuck between Frank and I. When my grandfather was a delegate to IATA he had to sit between Iraq and Israel, so I dunno who's better off

Frank used to hold the post lead, but he's slacked off as of late and turned his attention to stupid acadmemic things, so he's been passed. I, too, have had a slow year forum-access-wise, being still in the triple digits. (Lee, starting with a new profile that smelled of Kangaroo droppings, has matched my three years in only, what, ten months?)

*does some checking of some likely suspects*

Simon has slipped ahead of Frank by nearly a thousand. Yikes. And we thought he had a life. Tee-snix is the undisputed champ though, with a further thousand on top of that. (As of tonight, the superhuman 5542)

Further back but gaining steadily are the Flameboarding foursome of Omeychops, Fo2 and the Jeffs, all almost at or clear of the 2500 post mark but still shy of the Great Ship-Measurer. Each has about 100 original Flameboard posts and at least 2400 rehashes of said posts to their name

Liam is nipping at Frank's heels with his horrendous British dentistry and 3000ish posts, as is the village idiot, Nimrod (pun most certainly intended). Rounding out the 2000 post plus club are Tahna, UM and Fabrux.

Be warned, I may have missed some people... Life-lacking multi-thousand posters can strike at any time, so be careful.

Since I am anal, boring, and jsut wanted to add another number to that list, could we have them in order? Alhough the commentary was amusing.

I do protest though. I have no fillings at all. I am suffering from at least 3 STDs though, which are probably more worrying to Frank that the state of my teeth.

"Who is Number One?" Honestly. Doesn't anyone watch The Prisoner anymore?

OHHHHH!! So if message board users #1 to #425 were to suddenly be unable to perform thier duties, does that mean I become King of this message board????

Was there a purge or something some time ago? If J is #604 then why does the main page tell us there are less than 600 members?

On the other subject: I registered to this reincarnation as soon as I saw it come online. In reality I'm at least one of the first 25 as far as I can remember. I believe I was #23. But now I seems to have the lowest active member number... Well I don't mind at all

Seriously, I'm not the person to rub this in other peoples faces. I know I'm not really #4 chronologically. And do not want to make a fuzz about this, not now, not ever.

Y'all enjoy the new Flare!

hmm....Only 19th on the posts list? Maybe I should post more...

Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :

Can you get us the user numbers for those names? The names don't do us any good any more.

And is Lee's a total of both profiles?

how do you people know this stuff???
It's killing me, I must find out!!

Posted by The_Tom (Member # 38) on :

Well, if you lick the spot on the screen where the number of posts is displayed long enough, it fades away and is replaced by their current rank on the list. Try it!

The more sanitary way of doing so is to summon Administratorial powers and torture the control panel until it tells you what you need to know.

Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :

If you'd like, I can whip up a public member list, where people can find such stats...

Posted by Tick A Too Two (Member # 71) on :

I would find that rather amusing, and a source of endless entertainment.

"And they're off..."

I am NOT a number! I am a FREE MAN!

Posted by The_Tom (Member # 38) on :

Yeah, I've already passed word onto CC that it gives a real prison vibe. In a few years we might actually get Member #24601. (well, probably a few decades)

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

Omega: Yes, I combined the numbers from Lee's two profiles, since they both still existed. And, no, I will not get you the numbers. It's not that important. I already went to enough trouble to provide that list. :-

No chance of those other posts being added to my current post total, is there? 8)

And, it's nice to know someone knows something about The Prisoner. Nice one that last-Greek-letter chap!

And now I'd like to go into smarmy-radio-DJ mode, and also spoil the last ep of The Prisoner. In that ep, called "Fall Out," Number 6 discovers that HE is Number 1 - because, ultimately we're all prisoners of ourselves. All very metaphysical, I know, but there's a point.

So, to answer the question posted by. . . whoever it was, we're ALL Number 1, because we're all part of these Forums.

I must be getting sentimental in my old age. 8*)
