Just had a LOOOONNGG game quite a while ago. And it was pretty good too.

Me: Zerg
Omega: Protoss.

At the start of the game, I send overlords to explore the map, hoping to pinpoint the exact location where Omega is.

In about 3 minutes, a spawning pool was created and six zerglings have been spawned and in search for Omega's base. I'm in the top right, he's in the top left. By the time I locate him, he has a good number of zealots and they chew up my zerglings rather quickly.

Six sunken colonies have been created. Twelve more zerglings are in the waiting. Omega sends about 10 zealots, but they do not get very far, being attacked on two sides.

In my primary base, three more hatcheries have been created. A drone has been sent to a nearby mineral field, and is creating another hatchery.

A bunch of Zerglings have been (about 24), and they prepare to march down to his base to cause havoc. Unfortunately, these are not upgraded, and they run into 12 dragoons in which they get chewed up very quickly.

Upgraded into hive, and researched all possible upgrades for the zergling. My new base has 4 more hatcheries, giving me capability to create 48 zerglings at one time. All upgrades for the zergling have been researched. First, I send a lurker to investigate his base. They are soon able to chew up a bunch of zealots sent against them.

Zerglings sent. They are able to kill dragoons, but Dark Templars are able to get them, undetected. DAmn, I forgot to bring my detector. But before I do, Omega has about 12 corsairs ready to destroy my overlord. Oops.

Omega's strategy is similar to what I taught him in our last encounter. A whole bunch of Dragoons, a whole bunch of Corsairs to provide disruption web. His force if ready to cut mine down to size, but they underestimate the Spore colonies and Sunken colonies. Scratch one invasion force.

In the process of creating a guardian/Devourer force. In the mean time, I continuously pump out zerglings, but they are taken out by his dark templars while his corsairs take care of my detector units. Shoot.

Omega announces he has Psionic Storm. Double Shoot.

My force of Devourers and guardians are ready, and they march down to the lower right area of his base. His corsairs are quickly dispatched by my devourers, but his psionic storm takes care of most of my guardian force. No worry. I've got more guardians ready.

Soon all his templar have been taken out, along with some barracks, his fleet beacon, templar archives, nexus, and probes. Omega folds.

Long game, and this time, Omega really gave me a run for my money. Phew.

Good Game Omega. You coulda had me there.

He failed to mention our adjacent expansions. His was in the upper left corner, mine immediately below it. I don't think he ever knew about mine. In theory, I could have simply moved all base operations to my expansion, but I don't think it would have done me any good.

Anyway, I was actually setting up an assault on his expansion from mine. I was going to cast disruption web on his three dozen hydralisks, then take out his overlords with corsairs. Then, I would have landed a dozen dark templars to take out the units and the base. Unfortunately, Tahna executed his master plan before I could put mine into effect.

I really should have had more templars. I could have lured his devourers into range with my corsairs, and then fried them all, leaving the guardians ripe for the splashing. Oh, well. Next game...

It occurs to me that a good strategy would be to build expansions immediately adjacent to one's primary base, thus reducing the usefulness of such flanking arial assaults as Tahna's...

I don't knwo what you guys are talking about but shush Omega! You'll never win if you leave your ideas for victory on this forum! He'll just read them and know what you'll do and thus win again. Ah . . . unless you're giving him false information. In that case, carry on!

Well, considering that he actually taught me my basic strategy to begin with, I don't think this is going to do too much harm.

Yes I did.

He's getting better.

But be warned, D-Web also affects your own units if they are caught in them. So when you take out my detectors, just get those corsairs the hell out and ignore the Disruption web. Let your DTs do the rest.
