Excellent! Non-lethal weapons are always a welcome addition to any police forces' arsenal to deal with a situation where lethal force isn't neccessary -- saw a special on either TLC or Discovery about it, actually ... Paintball guns, bean-bag and expanding-net firing shotguns, tear-gas, tasers ... sure, there are some instances where police need to actually kill someone, but a lot of times a suspect is killed because the police don't have a non-lethal alternative to use. Sadly, as I understand it, only our larger police forces are able to diversify to the non-lethal tactics (due to costs) ... (and, I of course could be very wrong about that) I also think it's way cool that a lot of the non-lethal alternatives were used for the occupation of Kosovo by American Marines (not sure about other countries, or, for that matter, other U.S. services, so I won't speak to that point) in cases where they needed to subdue locals but didn't want to use lethal force to do so ...

I know, I know, how horrid ...Stun guns (non-lethal alternatives) are certainly preferred, I'm just saying they can't always be used.

In certain hostage situations, a police shooter (ie. sniper) is the only way. With a 30m range, the stun gun should be fine for most street incidents where a handgun would normally be used, though.
