Wondering if anyone else enjoyed the most classic boardgame of world domination. I'm sure Rob plays it often
There are two main variations ... "Castle Risk", where the object is to conquor Europe (and one hads WARSHIPS!) to help transport troops ...
... and the new "Risk 2210", where players also conquor underseas territories and the moon.
I remember creating "Economic Risk", sort of a mix of Risk, Capital Risk, and Monopoly. The goal was to make a better game. Players had warships, and there was even a 'United Army' of sorts.
Ah, very cool stuff.

I liked Risk, but always felt too much luck was involved (get the right combo of cards and BOOM you have 20 new armies).
I still prefer Axis and Allies to Risk, though Diplomacy trumps them all for pure strategic fun. Nothing is more satisfying than a perfectly executed backstabbing of a weak ally. And nothing is more frustrating than to be that weak ally. [ December 26, 2001: Message edited by: USS Vanguard ]

I used to play often, with some frinds here. Three brothers, but they would get into arguements and tip the board.
