Friendly game of shitbingo, yes. Delightful practice, popular in mid-sweden as well. What, you think we don't have rednecks?

Lord. Now, I'm all for the decent treatment and care of animals...and if the cow was fed some kind of laxative, that's certainly not good. But as long as the people involved weren't frightening or harming the animal...what in the world is wrong with this? We make spectacles of other living, semi-intelligent beings all the time...it's called going to the movies.
The problem with making such piddly, whining complaints as this is that the group diminishes it's credibility when they're trying to deal with honest to god casesof animal cruelty.

"...stress, confusion and fear..."
The cow is stressed, confused, and scared by the act of taking a crap? Just how long has this poor animal been constipated?
However, several hundred people who stand around watching a cow, betting on where it'll shit... Oy... I can't even think of anything to say to that...

If you were trapped out in a field covered with inexplicable grid markings where a hundred people stood by watching (and probably yelling), each of them anxiously anticipating where you'd shit next, I'm guessing you'd feel a little stressed / confused / afraid.

Well, see, the yelling part wouldn't be right... that would be part of frightening the animal...but the article's talking about the cow's dignity... Animal's don't have dignity. Which is why my dog has no problem taking a dump on the side walk.

I've never seen an bovine zealot blow-up any buildings filled with people because of a difference of political priciples. There's a certain dignity to be found in that.

My high school does this every so often for fundraising. They call it "cowplopping."

I used to sell chocolate bars. I thought we were unorthodox when we got the kind with the almonds.

Balaam: If that happened to me, yes, I might feel that way. But I'm not a cow.
As for cows blowing things up... I'm reminded of that "Far Side" cartoon where the cows are looking at their telephone. "There it goes again. It rings and rings and here we sit without opposable thumbs..."

Didn't Mrs. O'leary's cow burn down Chicago?

We are on the verge of discovering a massive conspiracy here..
What?.. you want me to say what? no, not yet.. oh come on.. ok ok
*ahem*
I've never trusted cows.. and I never will... I can never forgive them.. for the death of my boy.

Well the little pipsqueak shouldn't have tried to milk the bull then.
