Yeah, so...uh...the lesson here is, "Never upgrade your AOL software." I did. I was unable to access web pages for a week. Eventually, I had to format my C:/ drive & rebuild it. Eight times. I think I've got it now.
What'd I miss? Was Flower Man actually MIB in disguise? How'd that happen? And how'd it get discovered?

Welcome back, Shik.
Mark posted the final question for Sector Beta about a week ago. You might want to give that a look-see.

Well, MIB, in his brilliance, used his StarCraft log-in name as his e-mail, not to mentioned typed/talked the same, so me and Omega pointed that out to Charles, who decided to "ignore" MIB's return provided he didn't do any of his old stuff.
Then, guess what ... ?
Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :
Flower Man was indeed MIB. It was discovered, at least for me, by the profile similarities and the typical MIB little-boy-on-crack posting style. I'm sure that there were other signs, as well.
Other than that, nothing else has happened except for Michael_T promising us pictures of him dressed as Uhura. Then he welched on his offer.
Posted by Malnurtured Snayer (Member # 411) on :
& thank Omega's Fictional Deity for that!

When exactly did MIB return to his 'old ways'.. Flower Man seemed pretty tolerable to me...
Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :
There were a couple posts he made here in the Officer's Lounge which were very reminiscent of the his "Don't Blame Me It Was Judge Dread" phase. I think these both were within the last three or four weeks.
Flower Man may have been a bit more tolerable, but Alexander was still evading a ban that he got himself into. That's not exactly a good way to ingratiate one's self here.

Who me? What did I do? I'm not banned!? Am I?

I would point out to you that not every person on the planet has a unique first name...

Hang on, so I didn't star in Episode 1 and light-up the screen with my "plank of wood" approach?
'Yeah, so...uh...the lesson here is, "Never upgrade your AOL software."'
At the risk of sounding snide, the lesson here is "never use AOL software unless you are a complete spaz."
Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :
How big of a spaz does it make me, considering that I used AOL solely for its wonderful webhosting features for the better part of five years?
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
A big one.
Posted by Balaam Xumucane (Member # 419) on :
Does spaz mean the same thing in Europe as it does here?

Only if using AOL means the same thing in the Americas as it does in Europe.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
Well, I don't think it does. After all, using AOL in America means you're a spaz. Using AOL in Europe means one more step in the direction of American world domination.

Huh? Unique first name? Why do you say that? I just thought that Siegfried might have meant me - that's all. I was only making sure.
Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :
I was talking about Alexander, the poster formerly known as CammoDude, MIB, and Flower Man. The person now known as "Still Bannified."
Rest assured, I was not talking about you. Unless you too have evaded a ban... **cue ominous music with lots of fiddles**

Me? Becoming paranoid? Really? Well how's about some evidence to support that accusation - I'm not paranoid, just mightily confused!
Come on Dat - show me your evidence to support what you are saying! Which threads? What did I say wrong?

Oh, nevermind. Just you saying those kittens are cute, just makes me forget about the whole thing.

Nah, akb1979 isn't being paranoid. We really are trying to ban him.
Pleasant dreams...

I'm afraid the Japanese have finally gone 'round the bend on this one.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
Whaddaya mean, "finally"? They weren't already further 'round the bend than anyone would have imagined? And you think they won't outdo themselves? We are talking about the same country that at one time had vending machines for used young girls' panties...

In cases like these, I always remember what Master Yoda told me. He said, "Wear pants you should, Young Siegwalker. For Squirrels are hungry, and nuts you have."
