Why did I just have to re-log in!?! I don't think I consciously logged out. I hope my computer hasn't contracted some nasty spyware/spam/virus thingy that fucks around with cookies or something!?! Or am I just being paranoid. I could have accidently clicked the 'log out' button

It's all part of evil plan to dominate the world.

Thanks... now I'll have to go and put red cellophane on the windows again...
*random* *boggle* ;o)

I went to open and new window and ended up updating the indicators.... so maybe you missed a popup and hit the log out......

Y'know, Andy, this is a slight overreaction. You've had to relog in once. Woopee. It's not like computers never go wrong, eh?
Although on a related note, on our uni computers (windows 2000) I can never log in and have to type in my username and password for every single post. That's a pain.

Sounds like they're configured to not accept cookies.

Don't complain. I've to re-log in every few hours. Have the same problem on other boards too. Something's wrong with my IE 6.0.

OK, I got one: just rebuilt my PC with 98SE and IE 5.5, now whenever I click on a "mailto" link it goes to a blank page, then opens a mail window. Annoying.

One time, I accidently entered the wrong password when I went to post. Man, was that ever a pain in the ass. It told me that I was probably a Terrorist, and that I shouldn't use a computer again. But I figured it out. And now I can post.

Liam, yeah, I might have gotten a little paranoid there, I sometimes do... but it's all ok - I ended up using green cellophane on the windows instead of red!

Erm (looks around sheepishly) . . . anyone know why my homepage ain't working? (http://www.btopenworld.com/default) I only get the top . . . third displayed and it's trying to load the rest but just sits there with the blue bar almost at 100%. Could it be anything to do with Norton SytemWorks 2002 or Norton Personal Firewall that I've recently installed?
UPDATE: Disabled Norton Personal Firewall and went back to the page - it loaded just fine. I now have to dig the manual out and read the bits that tell me how to alter the settings and prevent this from happening again. Sigh. Stuff that, I'll just live with it! (Now that I know nothing' broken). HEHE!
