I just had to make some room on my hard drive, so I deleted all my previous usenet/newsgroups messages that I posted since July 1998 (when I had to re-download Forte Free Agent).
The number: 9002!! (I got on line in Early 1997) So I must have clicked that 'send' button over 10,000 times in the last five years!

Hmmm. 2,000 times a year? 40 times a week? Not horrible. Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
I have 8268 (well, 8269 after this) posts here, and that's just since March of '99. I'm pretty sure I was in the thousands at SFCR before it died, and there are also the posts at the previous incarnations. So, since December of '97, I'm sure I've posted well over 10 000 times.

I do less than a post per day. I am slow. So if everyone her eis doing more than a post a day which is the norm, that makes me weird.

I've been on Flare for 210 days, since September 06, 2001. This is my 2,287th post. I average 10-11 posts per day. Yikes!

Gah, I hate statistics. Maybe it's because that class is kicking my ass. Again.
So far, I've got about 2550 posts since I signed up opening day in March '99. Just about three years and one month and that's all I've racked up. That's mainly 'cause I disappeared from July '99 to January '01. Since January '01, I've racked up almost 2000 posts. So, I'm on a current clip of about 4.3 posts per day. Overall, though, I'm at 2.1 posts per day.
As far as total posts go, I had 3 on the Utopia Planetia forum, about 300 on the Starfleet Communications Relay, and about 100 on the Temp Board.

Well, then post more than you can be a senior. But according to my status, I am more senior than you, even though you were signed on before me.
What accounts to most of my posts even though people been here longer or even shorter than me has more posts than me, is that almost every post I make is a generally a long explained one. Though sometimes I will post one-two word posts.
On other forums, especially Planetnamek.com, I was known for long explained precise posts. I never rarely posted outside the General Dragonball Z board, though in the end I did start too. However I was there for a shorter amount of time, and had about 600+ posts before the forum closed. They had more topics that I generally like, which is technology.

Hey, I became a senior member in . . . 9 months I think. You'll get there soon enough. I personally think that the most important thing to have achieved is 50 posts - html capability - YEAH!

Ahhh, the UP forum - was that the original 'threaded board' with the purple and teal text?... I remember it well... I think my first post there was about how the First Contact ships didn't fit in with the design lineage of previously seen ships ;o) 1997? or 1998? About 5 years ago!?! ;o)

I am not a sterotypically Trekkie either, I don't look like one and don't act like one. I dress in a leather jacket (I got 4) baggy pants with A&F clothes. I have a girlfriend and was with sports. I even stopped coming here for a while to play more sports and beg my girlfirend to get some.
Last time I heard sterotypical Trekkie is neither of the above. Also I have yet to see another Trekkie outside of conventions that look like a Trekkie. In fact I just found out today by first block class has several Star Trek fans that I never knew about, plus everyone execpt 2 has seen most of the TNG. So being a Trekkie in my class is the norm.

Er, congratulations. You are the leather jacket king. Yes you are.
And wearing baggy pants doesn't mean you are cool. It means you don't buy clothes that fit.

I'm just afraid to leave my dorm room. I'm either going to be attacked by the minions of my allergies or attacked by the hundreds of student-run Bible study groups here. I can't tell which group is worse, but those Bible group people are persistent. They didn't even flinch when I told them I was the eater of young children's souls.

I know Simon once showed a very close-up picture of his own eye, taken w/ his webcam. But now I can't find it. So I guess you'll have to wait longer for a picture of "him".

Why, Jeff, do they plan on auctioning them off that soon???? Posted by Malnurtured Snayer (Member # 411) on :
And speaking of police cruisers, this is probably one of the oddest American ones I've seen. I mean, I know you Europeans have some just bizzare cars yourselves ... over here, we mostly have Ford Crown Victorias, with assorted Jeep Cherokees, Ford Broncos, etc. as back-up vehicles.
But a GEO Tracker?!

"Freedom is not empowerment... Anybody can grab a gun and be empowered. It's not entitlement. An entitlement is what people on welfare get, how free are they? It's not an endlessly expanding list of rights -- the 'right' to education, the 'right' to health care, etc... That's not freedom, that's dependency. Those are the rations of slavery -- hay and a barn for human cattle. There's only one basic human right, to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke-
