Well, I'm not working today. Which is good, because today is Friday. But I can't do anything, because business is so slow I'm really tight on cash.

Real Catch-22.

So, I'm cleaning my apartment. Going through my closet right now, I never sorted it when I moved in. Just tossed stuff in there. Posters, shelves, swords, bins of legos, other stuff.

Then, when I get it cleaned out, I'm going to clean the rest of the apartment.

Yay Friday.

Oh yeah, cleaning out your room(s) is always a fun job. It's a rainy Friday... and the piles of miscellaneous junk is getting to the "unmanageable" level. [Wink]

I never did find out what exactly a catch 22 is. :-\

That's what happens when you blow all your cash on Jeep accessories and Legos. [Wink]

I feel your pain. Money's really tight for me as well. I spent my day off yesterday cleaning my apartment as well. I still have a couple boxes to unpack, but they're trinket-type stuff and I'm out of shelf-space. I suppose this weekend I'm going to fog my apartment because of this damn flea infestation.

Read the book, Cujo. Joseph Hellerman. Best book in the world.

I'm not much for reading, can you give me a summary? [Smile]

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

Yes.

It's the best book ever.

Posted by DeadCujo (Member # 13) on :

That's what I thought about Why Things Are by Joel Achensomething, that was a nice book.

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

This is not a nice book.

It it the best book. Ever.

You should read it.

Is there a movie version? [Big Grin]

Posted by Wraith (Member # 779) on :

Yes, but it isn't as good.
It's the best book ever.

I assume you mean next to Silence of the Lambs.

Posted by thoughtychops (Member # 480) on :

No. Silence of the Lambs is thin-blooded, about as hard hitting as a little league try-out. Only reading The Killer On the Road, by James Ellroy, and The Two Bear Mambo by Joe Lansdale can save you from liking such weak, mainstream cookie dough fare.

After that perhaps you'll be man enough for some of the really heavy shit.

Catch-22 is two books down the line from now. I'll let you know what the score is after I read it.

The only book I have readily available is Doom II: The Official Strategy Guide. And yeah, it's nice.

"Joseph Hellerman"? Maybe you meant to say "Joseph Heller, man"...

Whats a 'man' between friends? [Big Grin]

Why, Timothy, keep cranking out ones like that and I might start to forget why I pick on you so much. 8)

Erm... Thanks?

Good call. You're welcome. 8)

I think the modern day equivalent of a "catch 22" situation can be summed up with the folowing phrase. You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't.

*rimjob*

Wasn't it Joe Kaufman who wrote the guide to stough&things? I read them in my childahood, it was translated to swedish as well, you know.
