There should be an even deeper level -- like altering the timeline so that humanity never evolved in the first place.
Er, not that I believe in something like that anyway. I'm somewhere between "hip deep" and "deep."

Liz: But so seldomly, that he couldn't predict what they/you would like.
And now the pic is showing up, so I can say I level off at "deep". I can't imagine what sort of sense "wildlife has more right to live on Earth than humans do" could possibly make. Humans are wildlife. We evolved on this planet just like any other species. Our buildings are just as much our natural habitat as a beaver dam is for beavers or an anthill is for ants.

I don't know of any species (excluding humans) that willfully destroys the natural habitats of other wildlife, though...

As a fun counterpoint, I know of no species that attempts to preserve the habitats of other species for non-food reasons (even their own!) other than humans.

Megadeep: I want to destroy all life in this and any other solar system. I am building a fleet of Saberhagen Berserker Warships to that end.
Incidentally, cuckoos deliberately lay their eggs in other birds' nests, and the cuckoo young then deliberately kill the other birds' offspring, thus ensuring that the cuckoo gets all the food mommy bird brings home. They're evil.

Let's use the beavers as an example. There's a small pond near my neighborhood along the roadway, where some beavers build a dam at the mouth of a culvert under the road. The water has been backed up (levels rose at least a foot, maybe more [30+ centimeters for you wacky non-Americans ]) for probably five years now. And all of the trees that line the pond at the former waterline are now dead. You can still see some old bird nests in the crowns of those dead trees. Not to mention that the pond has also become murky because of all the collecting dirt and sediment.
How destructive is that?

A little beaver is a pretty good thing, if you ask me. Even if it is an irritant from time to time.
