"While the peak moves faster than light speed, the total energy of the pulse does not. This means Einstein's relativity is preserved, so do not expect super-fast starships or time machines anytime soon."

Suck it yourself! HA!

it was called "using a flashy title to get attention". i wasn't expecting you to understand. move along, move along.

I, for one, cringe at the thought of Albert Einstein giving me oral gratification. I shall not sleep tonight.

Well, I for one expect super-fast starships anyway. Just because I think they can and aren't trying hard enough.

BTW, Photoshop artists now know how to disturb Siggy... hahaha. im thinking of a great composition.. I'll call it 'The Theory of Fellativity'

Mike, please post spoilers for that one....

Please don't. I like my theories immaculate.

Also (1), fotons can't transfer *information* at speeds greater than c. Unless we're talking quantum entanglement, but that's a whole 'nother mother.

Also (2), group velocity of a pulse can exceed c. Nothing new or groundbraking about a phase-shift occuring at superluminal speed...
