i wasn't a big fan of Parachutes, but A Rush of Blood to the Head is a very impressive album. i especially like the serialist elements in songs like Clocks. anyone else heard the album yet?

I don't care much for Coldplay (I have just one of their songs on MP3), but I do want the new Underworld album that came out Tuesday, A Hundred Days Off, their first album since the trio became a duo (Darrel Emerson left).
I'd have it by now if I hadn't of had a moment of weakness and got a phone card to call Laura instead. Oh well, it'll wait for me...

"...I have just one of their songs on MP3..."
"Yellow"? I guess that because it's the one that I have, and probably the only one of their songs anyone's every heard of.

you guys should take a gander at the new album. it's much more mature and much better than the previous effort.

Yes, i've heard it and also thought it was much better than their last. I liked the Scientist.

Nope. "Trouble".

What was the single that came out after "Yellow" - it was sort of slow and sad. I liked that song.

I've heard good stuff about the new album, although I haven't got around to buying it. If it's half as good as Parachutes though I will be impressed.

*cough* kazaaa lite *cough* (try before you buy). it's a million times better than Parachutes, imnsho, but it is more like Radiohead than Parachutes was, and i'm a Radiohead fanatic, which would explain why i like A Rush of Blood more than Parachutes (but it isn't that much like Radiohead, so if you don't like Radiohead you may still like A Rush of Blood). there. did i make it italicy enough?.

"Trouble" - thanks the
Oh and about Kazaa lite - you can't download a complete album at once can you? I.e. you have to search on say 'Cold Play' and find the track listing on the web somewhere... and then select the tracks you want to download. Sometimes the quality between each track can change can it not? How do you check for this... most 128 ?kbps? - which is one of the best qualities? CD quality?
Are there places to download a complete album... i.e. from the one place?
AND also about Kazaa - I've noticed that there is a Kazaa version 2.0 - so is there a Kazaa lite version? Should I accept that upgrade to Kazaa 1.7 or will that interfere with the Kazaa lite version I have installed?
RADIOHEAD!
Brilliant band. Edipis... have you seen them in concert. I saw them in Brisbane on their "OK Computer" Tour - SOOOOOOO brilliant. What an emotionally draining concert that was. People were crying and stuff. Truely brilliant.

no, i've never gotten to see Radiohead in concert. hopefully i'll get to see them if they ever come near Ohio. with kazaa (make sure you get the "lite" version which has no spyware) you'll need to do a search for something like "a rush of blood to the head coldplay". that will bring up the whole album. kazaa will also give you an ETA for the download and the bitrate. i never download anything that is less than 128 KBPS. there should be a "lite" version of kazaa out soon, but it isn't ready yet. just stay with 1.7 for now. it still works fine. audiogalaxy used to let you download entire albums at once, but the site no longer works.

Oh. I was wondering why anyone whould put out an album called Radiohead. Band names aren't italicized.
And Radiohead have only ever played in St. Louis once, and it was back in 1997, long before I even knew they existed. Maybe the next tour...

Oh, wow, Elvis Costello and Laura Cantrell are going to be in St. Louis on the tenth of October. I had no idea they were touring together.

i can italicize whatever ever the fuck i want. the reason i put so much in italics was for pure whimsy. hence me saying:

asshole.

See how easily I let insults slide when they are italicized (though in an ideal world there would be quotation marks too). And yet, this is an unwise course to remain on.

i will apologize for the open insult if i get an apology for the implied slight.

Or, y'know, I could just listen to my mate's copy. And then buy it.

Dear god no! Not an implied slight! Tim Nix, master of the verbal dagger claims yet another victim.
