I probably should have posted this earlier, but my scanner wasn't working (erm, I mean, I forgot it wasn't plugged in...), and it skipped my mind, but still.

Some of you may remember, for those of you paying attention, that I've mentioned every once in a while (and even posted two pics) of Laura, my girlfriend. You may also remember that we met on the internet, in a Trek chat nonetheless, and became very close almost exactly a year ago. After many tries to try and meet (hindered by my parents and my lack of a job and money), she finally came here for 3 days. And, as the title says, it was pure happiness.

I don't know exactly how to explain it, I can just say that this is something that has been lacking in my life for many years, and I must say, why the hell didn't I start doing it sooner? Unfortunately it was only 3 days, much too short. We were planning for me to come to her place in South Carolina for Spring Break, but that is now impossible since I still have no job/money and my car will be in the repair shop that week. So, the next opportunity is May, the end of the semester. I really need to get back down to that girl.

Anyway, this is just me rambling. I just basically want to say I'm completely happy for one of the first times in a very long while. Here's us:

That's a grin? You look terrified to me.

But, y'know, well done and all that.

I don't know what my expression was supposed to be. I was too busy trying to hold the camera.

This is the one from Ellensburg, no?

Formerly from Ellensburg. She moved back to South Carolina in October.

Pfft.

And who goes from the Eastern Seaboard to Central Washington University? Only criminals and spies. One to catch the other, you see.

She's the one on the left, right? 8)

Lee Kelly: Insulter of Americans' girlfriends since forever.

(just so you know that was a joke, alright? And she's actually quite cute)

Horrible picture. She looks to be owning a mullet.

Seriously. Better pictures.

I hate to interrupt this thread of happiness, but that image was too big and slow loading and generally screwing up the thread layout...

Is that a ridge down her forehead? Are you dating a Bolian? Or is it just that her head is smuushed up against yours?

Anyway, welcome to 'shipper land. May your days in our country be many and full of delight.

Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :

I would take a wild guess its because she's squished against my head.

And thats the only good picture. I = Bad Photographer.

Shik beat me to it... is she wearing a mullet!?! [Smile]

MUCH better. Nice jugs.

And no, Lee. The one on the right is MY girlfriend.

Preemptive pyrrhic shot! Yes! I have captured the enemy for meat testing!! Praise me! PRAISE ME!!!

Every line in that post was just wrong...

How so, sexy?

Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :

yeah...now I'm lost... [Confused]

Everybody gather round and do the pyrrhiche.

However, if you meant to capitalize the 'P,' then, I say, I am out of a job.

Heya folks!

I am the359's girlfriend. [Wink] No I am not a Bolian... and thanks for the approval on my "jugs" (whoever that was....).

This place seems pretty cool. Just be easy on me.. I am the newbie.

Gosh I sound like a dork.

Oh geez, someone make sure to hide the thread where The359 is talking about prostitute pricing in his area before his g/f finds it ... agh!

Damn, maybe I shouldn'ta posted this here. No, really, the thread doesn't exist. Honest.

Dude, since when have you been in the Seattlish area? (Arrogantly assuming that the pig in the picture is one of the ones scattered throughout Seattle)

Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :

Very arrogant Charles. I'm not in the Seattle area. I didn't take the picture. She, however, WAS in the Seattle area but isn't anymore.

Posted by Charles Capps (Member # 9) on :

That explains that.

I hate to bring this up, but the precedents regarding Forumgoers' other halves starting to post here aren't encouraging. And when they do work, well, need I remind anyone of the takeaway/virginity exchange? That left some people here mentally scarred!

Posted by CaptainMike (Member # 709) on :

what is it with those people and pigs!?

Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :

She wanted to come here Vogon. I'm not going to stop her from doing it.

Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :

My other half posts here all the time. I mean, I am right-handed, after all.

Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :

I will come visit you someday, Charles. Well, maybe you should visit me. I do not do the city well, and have never driven past Lake Kachess, or thereabouts. You could stop at the Issaquah Krispy Kreme on your way over. Please.

NOTE MY NAME DROPPING!

I can't speak for anybody else, but there's no chance of MY SO posting here. We don't have a come computer, and besides, I wouldn't let her within 40 miles of some of the ass-monkeys here. [Big Grin]

Posted by Shik (Member # 343) on :

Mmmm...ass-monkeys.

That would be me about the jugs. No thanks necessary.

You have an S-K quote. that makes up for the poor mullet photography. I love you. Breed my genetically superior demonoid offspring.

I should hope not...

"I wouldn't let her within 40 miles of some of the ass-monkeys here"

She's dating one, so what's the difference?

Your sad "frog in the flashlight" powers are no match for my mad kung-fu skills. Surrender.

Mara: I saw S-K play NYC 2 weeks ago, the day of the anti-war rally. Incredibly fucking AWESOME.

Sweet! They are opening for Pearl Jam in Charlotte NC. I can't WAIT to see them, and Pearl Jam of course.

Posted by Ultra Magnus (Member # 239) on :

Remember back in 1996 when Pearl Jam was good?

Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :

No.

Posted by The359 (Member # 37) on :

Well you just bought yourself a funeral, Ultra Magnus.

Bashing Pearl Jam = Not Good.

Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :

Pearl Jam? They sound like Creed.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

1996? That's about five years too late, isn't it?

Posted by Ultra Magnus (Member # 239) on :

A long time ago, and not now, is really the point and all.

Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :

They were good at all?

Posted by Nim (Member # 205) on :

.

Posted by Shik (Member # 343) on :

It's a damn good thing I saw S-K when I did--they're not opening for PJ here. Some assed-out band named Sparta is. Of course, that show's on 3 May, & since I just got my summons to appear for trial on 24 April...well..yes.

Posted by Mara Jade (Member # 985) on :

Actually Sparta's not all that bad. I heard one of their songs on the college station in Ellensburg.

Creed is a big Pearl Jam ripoff and Pearl Jam has never sounded bad. :-p (OK, No Code wasn't that great...)

But have they ever been used on a Cartoon Network/Bravo/Paramount/WWE promo? Eh?
