Wiarton Willie, the groundhog in Ontario, predicted that we were supposed to have an early spring.

We had a snowstorm last week. Really bad wind chill. More snow expected today. Some experts predict that we won't be getting any stable spring weather until mid-May.

Snay, can I borrow your train?

It's snowing in PA right now. So we're just as bad off as you.

I blame Punxatawny Phil.

Global warming is great.

I'm going to assume this is one of those funny colonial things? I mean a groundhog is a type of pig, right? How is it supposed to predict the weather?

Even Michael Fish doesn't get it right all the time. [Razz]

It snowed all weekend here. After all the snow had mostly melted, too!

And yes, climate change is fun.

It's been blizzarding all day.

Climate change is inconvenient.

I knew you'd say that. But it doesn't mean it isn't happening, nor does it mean we should be free to pollute the air as we please.

"...the groundhog in Ontario..."

You've just got the one?

"...a groundhog is a type of pig, right?"

Yes. In the same way that a seahorse is a type of horse.

Yes, I do not like the ice storms that knock out power.... Although when the cold (global warming my ass) sun shines off the trees they look all nice a silver, and the field of reeds look like field of swords stuck in the ground with their blades aimed at the sky....

Bueatiful here in sunny Fort Lauderdale.
Do'nt know what you guys are griping about: it's been mid-70's here for a couple of months now. [Big Grin]

This is the same guy who used to wonder where his forecaster-promised snow was.

You flip-flop on the issues, man... [Big Grin]

Actually, this late snowstorm probably IS caused by global warming... the warmer climate has melted parts of the polar ice caps, thus increasing the amount of moisture in the air and altering the main wind patterns like the jet stream, thus making it colder and wetter at this time of year, and we get snowed on.

Yeah, but don't talk about global warning like its All Our Fault. Global climate changes all the time. I just hope this interstadial lasts a little longer... [Frown]

Then this has been going on since I was a young kid, we've always been hit with a late March early April blast.

I also heard that, that the relative stability we've had for the better part of human history has been rather a stroke of luck that allowed us to prosper.
Apparently, the "normal" state of earth conditions usually was to not be stable.
It's a goddamn crapshoot. And we're the prize!

We're just bystanders. We happened to prosper while things were reletively satble, but the ice will return. I wonder if we can survive it.

Of course we will, old friend!
Because we won't live here then, you see, we will live *cue beach band*

undah da sea!
Darling it's better down where it's wetter,
take it from meee!
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we're devoting full time to floating
Undah da seeeea!

I'll say!

Erm... Wait... We're not talking about the same thing, are we?

Well, no. I was singing about moist reginas and you were contemplating a vacation in Colombia.

Anyhow, gills are the way to go. Screw those icecaps. Blubber rocks!

It was snowing all day today. four weeks ago, about a week after all the snow melted, we got about 6 centimeters of snow, we just got rid of it all THREE days ago, now we've got another two inches.

As for you Nim, how much you want for the drugs your on? cause whatever it is, I want it!! caffiene highs just don't cut nowadays.

I'll take a crate of what Nim's on as well. I could use the artificially-induced euphoria.

I'll have no part in drug-running!
My self-image is forged by the constantly shifting facts that is my reality.

Oh god I sound like a Goth Poet! Or Shik's blog!
Time for bagbreathing.

Awww, he's a cute little fuzzy wuzzy rodent.

It's actually quite warm in Brighton. I could go outside in a tanktop without a jacket on.

If the ice comes back, we can burn environmentalists for fuel.

Unless sea levels start to rise before this interglacial period ends, in which case we'll use anti-environmentalists as dike construction material.
