No, we're still considered geeks. The article is talking about people who use the Internet for normal things, like reading the news, or buying stuff. Not people who frequent Star Trek message boards.

Indeed. And vice versa, people who use XP's default "Teletubbie hills" background (as in the picture) are NOT geeks.
