Seems a Canadian inventor has found a way to produce cheap hydrogen, if this works it could eliminate one of the chief stumbling blocks to hydrogen fueled cars. Link

Cool! I've got a bin full of potential hydrogen production. Look out world!
The article doesn't explain why it has to be fizzy water.

I'd really have to se the hard science on this one and have tests backing upthe process.... But if true, it would be a huge leap away from fosil fuels and many wealthy middle eastern countries will quickly colapse.
Makes me feel all warm and squishy inside just thinking about it.

Not necessarily. After all, the OPEC nations want (or already have?) a provision in the Kyoto Protocol for huge chunks of aid to support them after the world transitions to non-petroleum-based fuels...

Wasn't that one of the technologies you could develop in Pax Imperia? I think it allowed development of up to a cruise class hull with defensive bonus of +10

Yes, bloody typical that the official site appears to have been designed by a color-blind three-year old...
There's also www.efda.org and www.itercad.org, which, while both not much of a monument to the web themselves, should at least confirm that it is a real project in an advanced stage of planning.

Sorry, I read that as 'caustic soda-water.'
Never having heard of it before, my first thought was that 'Caustic Soda' would make a good band name. But then it already is.
