Northern Exposure Season One is coming to DVD on May 25th, coinciding with Buffy Season Six. Quantum Leap Season One is streeting on June 8th, as well.
A two-disc "Star Trek Generations" is being released in Region 2 September 27th, which probably means Paramount is going to re-release ALL the TNG films in two-disc "special edition" format both in R2 and here state-side.
In the "Final Countdown" thread, I made note of this but will repeat it ... the short lived "Freaks & Geeks" will be released in its entirety on April 6th.
Hmm, "Generations"....wonder if they are going to restore some of the scenes??

Probably not. There isn't much that really adds anything to the story. Hopefully though they will be archived on Disk two.

Well, no, but neither did the added scenes to TMP or TWoK. I guess my interest in buying it versus what it already available on store shelves would be based on the addition of already existing footage that they might as well add to the film.

Well there are SOME scenes that make more sense... I think the Geordi being tortured scene makes more sense - and may give him some much deserved screen time.
Oh and there is the scene where Riker blames Deanna for her bad driving and she retorts about not asking for directions.

All this talk about Generations ... personally, I was thrilled to finally see "Northern Exposure" being released on DVD, and I expected more people to be excited about "Quantum Leap" ...

I want to see a complete extended edition of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - with all the hours of cut footage included!

RotK probably will be out between May and August -- but that would be the regular version. I am waiting not only for the November release of the ~5.5 hour (!) version, but I have thus far borrowed friends' copies of the first two movies in hopes that a complete trilogy box set might be in the offing.

Schindler's List just came out on DVD, I'm thinking it might be worth picking up.

I too will be waiting for the super special extended director's cut collector's edition of RotK. Watching all 3 back to back to back will be an all day event.

There is indeed a plan to sell all three extended Lord of the Rings movies in one package. I don't recall the supposed release date, though. Also, I think the other versions are being a released a month or so earlier than their counterparts were, seeing as there's no upcoming release to promote.
