Using Mac OS X, I'm trying to view CaptainMike's *.avi's from his site. It seems the codec he used to encode them is not available for Mac. Anyone have any advice (other than buying a PC)?

There's an alternative media player to Quicktime, Realplayer or what-have-you, namely Media Player Classic. I think it may have support for more file-types and variations than the aforementioned thingies.
I don't know if it runs on a Mac, haven't tried it on one. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1049831315/1
It might work, and if not, well it was all I could think of.

I'm way to lazy to look up Mike's url, but PM or post it and I'll see if I can get it to play with any of the OS X players I have....
Or you can ask the folks at macaddict forum's "digital hub" sub-group...
Oh and Capt Mike - boo, boo, cross platform is the way to go!
EDIT:
Hey - check this site out!
Maybe one of their methods will work....
