Someone should fire God for messing with continuity! NO-ONE has ever mentioned the VSS Enterprise! And the design looks nothing like the other Enterprises!
Of course, you could say that Richard Branson lives in an alternate timeline, but I'M TIRED OF RATIONALIZING every single continuity mistake made by TPTB!

Why the hell does that remind me of the Galaxy Quest ship?

Given his record with baloons and trains, I'm not entirely sure I'd want to go into space in a Virgin space ship!
It'd probably crash due to the wrong type of vacuum...

I don't know, but I thought I was the only one that drove a big car with the word "virgin" painted on the side of it.

You know, much as I admire Rutan for his out-of-the-box (though at times just a few misfiring neurons short of totally insane) thinking, I'm having real difficulty picturing an aircraft that behaves like a shuttlecock. A structurally sound one, anyway.
Also, the name sucks. B)

I noticed that phrase too, and it is very misleading. Spaceship One is only going at about Mach 2 or 3, which is a very different problem than trying to re-enter the atmosphere from orbital velocity, which is around Mach 25.
