Well, thanks a fuck'n lot "Hollywood". No more bit-torrents people - of harder to find bit-torrents. Read the article here: http://news.com.com/BitTorrent+file-swapping+networks+face+crisis/2100-1025_3-5498326.html
This pisses me right off - how now am I going to watch the rest of Enterprise and SGA!?!

And there's always IRC and Usenet, for ye olde school sharing.
Anyway, Enterprise isn't on for another few weeks, and I'm sure the situation will have settled down by then. The MPAA just needs some more time and publicity to scare the people away from BitTorrent.

Y'know, when I read the farewell message at Suprnova, I got the impression that they shut down because of server trouble (too much traffic, presumably), not legal trouble.

Well, my impression was that they chickened out and why not? As the largest and most hyped bittorrent community, they and their users would be most heavily targetted. By spreading out to other sites and other venues they pose a smaller target.
It had become obvious that Suprnova had become too large when Suprnova had suddenly become synonymous with bittorrent in certain quarters. We're talking about the same people that think IE is "The Internet" or those that confuse a windows manager with an OS.
