I've got a nifty digital camera that will let me record some video, but it saves it in Quicktime .MOV format with the MPEG-4 codec. I would really prefer to have the video in another format that doesn't require the Quicktime viewer, like avi or mpeg. So, does anyone know of any good (preferably free) video converters out there?
Thanks, B.J.
(BTW - the video I'm starting with is here. It's my daughter finally starting to walk.)

Born December 30th, 2003, so 15+ months old. And that's my 5 year old son you can see (and hear) singing in the background.

Thanks a lot, Cartman! Now to go find the Xvid codec...
For future reference, how did you convert this? Is it free? It would be nice not to have to rely on others, but I'm also not quite willing to shell out money for something I won't use very often.
