So, there's another theory being proposed by some quantum physicists about what could happen if "parallel" realities aren't entirely parallel, but instead actually collide... I'm not sure I exactly figure on how exactly scientists can tell what's beyond our universe, but it seems kinda freaky to me.
Anyone else getting vibes from "The Alternative Factor" here?

There's an alternate reality where I invented the finglonger....poked my brain out while picking my nose.
Now I'm the only version of me left in the entire multiverse.
....unless typing this caused a branching off into yet another timeline wherein I did not make that Futurama joke and instead came up with someting witty and original...

Yeah, but what are the odds of that ever actually happening?

Kinda reminds me of the "Q-Squared" book, where Trelane was collapsing many different parallel universes into each other.

Hell, now I'm getting notions as to how I could tie up all of Trek's poor handling of time travel in one neat little package.
With a pretty bow on top.
Convergence can be fun. (We need more smileys. There's no evil grin.)

In the mirror universe all smileys would have evil grins.

But if different planes are randomly intersecting our own we might be posting in the alter-Flare and not even know it!

I do sport a goatee...
My God- the joy I'd get out of an Agonizer: particularly after having just spent 90 minutes in traffic. An hour and a half to travel 28 miles in a straight line and being surrounded by idiots on cell phones in SUV's....
Oh, but I'd need some sort of car adaptor for the Agonizer (lest it run out of power from constant use).

Well considering they can get ipods to work inside cars, an agonizer wouldn't be much more of a problem.

Meh, I'd just settle for hood-mounted surface-to-rear-tire missiles to take out those assholes who are always cutting me off on Route 40 every morning...

What if I already have a goatee? Does that make me evil? Will my mirror-self be some mamsy pamsy goodie two-shoes? Ick. The thought makes my stomach lurch.

But you miss the point. This IS the Miror Universe. This is the world where we use shotguns to blow away the first alien we meet.

So can you imagine what Jeff Goldblum's mirror character would be?
Or Kevin Bacon.... the actor that appeared in NO shows with NO other actors.

Goldblums's mirror character will be able to add a little emotion into his lines maybe? Don't get me wrong, He was great in Jurassic Park. But he sounded a little too Spock-ish.

In a mirror universe Jeff Goldblum would be up for the role of James Bond 007.
