We've seen micro video cameras mounted on RC planes for years, but this guy took it to the next level! http://www.therawfeed.com/2006/09/vr-gear-makes-rc-airplane-coolest-toy.html quote: A Canadian RC airplane enthusiast shows us some sweet unanticipated convergence between a model RC airplane and virtual reality gear. It works like this: The airplane is a conventional one, controlled by a wireless remote control. On the airplane is a pan-and-tilt camera, controlled also wirelessly. Here's the cool part. The video is viewable through virtual reality goggles, which have a gyroscope built in to sense the movement of the goggles. When the wearer moves his head, the camera moves. Tragically, this is not a product you can buy, but a DIY project.
After viewing that video, I think I'd have to strap myself into a chair while piloting that thing. Otherwise, I'd risk falling over because of my equilibrium getting fooled!

Plus someone can probably walk up to you and steel your wallet without you noticing!

What would make it cooler is if he had two cameras next to each other, feeding each eye separately, so he'd get a stereoscopic image.

It would be cheaper, and more practical to just rent a boat and a pair of binoculars Nim...

I recall a company that built a remote controlled airplane which was shaped like a lawn mower. Add some cameras to that and then you'd have the coolest toy ever.

Wow.
And the top one... reminds me of that Stargate episode where O'Neil and Teal'c flew those fighter jets from the safety of that bunker. It was the episode with Rene Auberjonois.
