I always like playing around with Google Maps. On a whim, I thought I'd find some shooting locations for movies and TV shows. Not the obvious ones, of course (like the Golden Gate bridge), but the less well-known ones, especially when they served as something different.
Tollan homeworld, Caprica, probably several others - Simon Fraser University Cetecean Institute - Monterey Bay Aquarium Ghostbusters' Firehouse - Hook & Ladder Company #8 Dana Barrett's apartment & the church next door - (here) Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall - Puente Hill Mall Doc Brown's House - Gamble House
Can anyone add to the list?

They shot that Grey Owl movie up at Waskesiu Lake. It's about an hours drive from where I live. Thinking back, I should have gone up there to try and catch a glimpse of Pierce Brosnan. Oh well.

Name ANY genre show shot in Vancouver, I'll name you back the episode that featured SFU in it. It gets used for so much stuff, the students are used to being diverted to their classes to get around filming. I go there evey summer for an anime convention, and it's really cool to be standing in the same space that stars have tread, that robots have strode through, and that nukes have annihiliated.

Bank Street in New Milford, CT, was used as the NH town in Adam Sandler's version of Mr. Deeds. New Milford is next to the towns I grew up in.
