A friend has just set up his own PR firm, and money is tight. And, having an exaggerated opinion of my web-development skills which I've been unable to dispel, he's asked me to make some changes to their website.
Most of them I am, unbelievably, capable of. The one thing I can't do is a scrolling news/headlines/updates ticker for their front page. Needless to say I'm going to have to find one on the web. What would actually be really useful would be one that allowed direct additions (subject to login) without having to modify-then-upload pages. Has anyone encountered such a utility? Or can you suggest a nice simple cool-looking, easy-to-implement news ticker code?

I haven't time to look at them in detail at this moment, but at a glance it looks like there's hope in those sites. Perhaps you can cannibalize some code, if none work exactly to your specifications.

Er. . . "Ha ha, what a noob, he double-posted?" Thanks. Had seen the second one, think it's probably the best example but think number 3 has possibilities as well. 4 doesn't work in Firefox, and looks rubbish in IE. I'll see what he prefers.
