I laughed at that article until I got to the part where she was stuck there for three years. That guy's probably got a lot more coming to him than a pink slip. Surely there's something criminal about putting someone on a list of criminals without due process and just cause? (Well, such as it is for those watch lists.)

no i mean something doesnt add up... a british citizen that suddenly cant come home? i would have been hounding the embassy, calling home, calling british home media... i mean what did her husband say in the meantime? surely someone back home new he was married? did he claim to be 'doing something' when/if they ever spoke?
3 years? its almost seems like she didn't do anything about her plight? something totally doesnt make sence about that deal. is there any other related links about this story?

She may not be a citizen, I suppose.
I'd be shocked if there was not the same thing happening in the States- some divorce gone bad or harsh dumping and suddenly the NSA is giving some woman the stinkeye.
