I am posting this here (rather than in the OL) because even when it is not intended, posts about religion tend to get some folks started, and not always the ones I might expect.

I have a friend who is Jewish. He has been kind enough to answer a lot of my "stupid questions" about his faith. Since Judaism is the basis for a large percentage of the religions and faiths in the world today, I would like to share with you the following link he put me on to:

I have found it interesting and informative, as well as giving me a handle on "where he's coming from".

Well, I like this guy's ideas on conversion, at least. More religions should follow that example.
