Just so I don't lose the signal in the noise, here's a question:

According to Catholic (and, for that matter, protestant) doctrine, anyone who gets to heaven is a saint.

My question: So what is the proper term for the dead folks who are canonized (term?) and venerated? I thought those were saints, too.

Anyone who goes to heaven is a Saint, the only difference is a that a person who is called Saint "whatever" is assumed that they are a Saint.
