I am curious. Someone made a remark that leads me to believe there are some Muslims in the forums. If there are, would they be so kind as to tell us a little bit about what they believe?

I think this sort of discussion is important, as many of us have only heard and seen the stereotypes portrayed in the mass media, and few of us have personal knowledge of these things. It is good that we learn who each of us is and perhaps this will allow us to see beyond our preconceptions of what someone ought to be, and behold the person that is.

I'll start with a question. If it turns out that no-one here is a Muslim, I suppose I'll have to look elsewhere, but if all I wanted to know about was the religion, there are many resources both on and off the web for that. I'm interested in the people here.

Question: How is the afterlife (if any) described in the Quran?

Ever since reading Dune, I've become fascinated by the Arabic world. I'll wait until someone who actually knows what they're talking about shows up, but if they never do I'd be glad to share my discoveries.

The only experience I have with the muslim faith is of what my friends tell me, and from what I read in The Autobiography of Malcom X,(which I suggest everyone read at least once). I know its about the oneness of God above the oneness of Humanity... a concept I think is pretty cool.
