It seems to me, when faced with a decision that aversely affects the position of one political candidate (From Party 'D', let's say.) or another, people affiliated with the other party (Party 'R') are ever so quick to condemn and judge.Yet, when confronted with a hypothetical situation that is that aforementioned situation, but reversed, those same people from party 'R' who condemned the Party 'D', are either defensive about the situation, or make up some honorable bullshit.
Example:
The leader of Party 'D', who happens to be in the Non-Colored house, has sexual relations with a copygirl, and then lies about it under oath.
This, of course, causes Party 'R' to be irate, and shouting "Get that guy out of the non-colored house."
But, if asked if the situation were reversed, or - heaven forbid it actually was - Party 'R' would respond with 'Oh, well, he's just keeping the country together' or 'His private life is none of our business', or 'Purjurgy? What? Prove it. He never did."
Or,
Example 2:
A new POTATO for the 'Non-Colored house' needs to be chosen fairly by the people of the ATO. So, all over the country, loyal citizens, of both parties 'R' & 'D', and even 'Independants', go out and cast their ballots.
Now, in the end, this race for the POTATO is extremely close. So much so, that recounts are needed, in order that the right candidate is chosen.
However, the candidate for party 'D' is only behind by 346 votes. Now, to you and I, this seems like enough to go through the votes with a comb, and make sure this is the accurate total, plus, if you're so close to winning, why not do all you can?
But, for some reason, (Perhaps he's scared of losing? I'm not sure) the guy from Party 'R' doesn't like this much. So he tries to stop it, and all of the little loyal Party 'R' pawns agree, and become irate at the 'D's. "Oh, what is this? This is a Constitional Crisis!" They'll say. Or "Can't Mr 'D' just concede gracefully? He's already, almost, yet not officially, according-to-the-state-that-his-brother runs, won. Why is Mr. 'D' a sore loser?"
Although, in their heart of hearts, these 'R's know that if the situation were reversed, Mr. 'R' would be doing everything that Mr. 'D' would be doing, no matter how much they'd like to fool themselves.
From observation, it seems ATO politics are a very rudimentary system of Gangs. People blindly follow and rationalize each decision made by the higher ups in the Gang. The only things missing are the whores and the gang fights.
Although, I don't think either of those are far off.
"You voted 'R'? Ah'm gunna cut you up boyah! But fairst, lit me git mah hos. I'm tha pimp daddah."
It just seems like the Citizens of ATO (and not all of them. It's really only like 33% of the population that have to dump their devotion that they can't share with a female companion, because they're too anal-retentive and arrogantly argumentative to ever warrant female companionship into these political parties.) are much too hypocritical, and cling on to the faults of others while not realizing their own.
It's just a figurehead people. It's not like there would be a difference in them. Niether would do anything drastic, for they have the checks and balances to contend with, and approval ratings and TV spots to worry about. These people don't have "Thrice-Valedictorian at Harvard" advisors for nothing. You could put a stick in the Not-Quite-Circular office and, depending on the level of liberalism it's advisors were, it could get the job done just as well, or even better.
Go outside. Have some fun. Or some sex. Or both. Politics are fine and dandy, but naked girls always take precedence. And, if you can't meet a real woman, buy some binoculars. Or, if you don't enjoy jail time, just download some porn on the computer. It's all better than the same retarded arguments about the next POTATO. Really.
