Poor Terry. Hope he recovers fast. What's this about dragons? Did he do that as well? I saw the poster with Jeremy Irons and four teenagers, thought "here we go again, Braveheart 90210 + lightwave-vfx." Uh...no...there's absolutely no connection between Gilliam and Dungeons & Dragons.Let me try to explain the viewing experience for that movie without giving anything away. 0-10 minutes: Hmm, this is an uncomfortable seat. Ooh, is that Jeremy Irons? Hey, that girl is kind of cute. Wasn't she on Voyager? 10-30 minutes: I could have sworn it had been two hours by now. Boy, my head hurts. And my eyes sure itch for some reason. 30-40 minutes: Oh, God, I think I must have swallowed something poisonous. 40-60 minutes: My eyes!! Merciful heaven, my eyes! It burns, it burns like lemon juice! No!!! 60-infinity minutes: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! ------------------ I will shout until they know what I mean. -- Neutral Milk Hotel **** Read three (three!) chapters of "Dirk Tungsten in...The Disappearing Planet"! He named his kids Amy Rainbow, Holly Dubois and Harry Thunder? They fuck you up, your mum and dad. . .And no mention of whether the Pratchett/Gaiman Good Omens movie is going ahead, either. Highgate. Thinking of moving there myself. Finsbury Park is starting to lose its appeal - flatmate got mugged on our street, and a gang of black kids tried it on with me the other day. Fortunately I was much scarier than them. ------------------ "I rather strongly disagree, even if I share the love of Dick. That's true. Especially when you start narrating what's going on in BBC-Wildlife announcer voice:"And Lee stands there, unworried, as the group of invaders to his terrotory slowly advance, shouting taunts. They beign to realise that their intended target doesn't seem to be worried by their verbal abuse, and that he just stands their, talking. One of them inquires why he is speaking aloud. Lee doesn't answer, and instead bares his wonderful plumage to the invaders. Deceiding that the situation was too strange for them to deal with, the invaders left. And Lee returned to his nest, to watch a repeat of Father Ted." Still, at least he was considerate enough to make the weird names their middle names. Everyone's embarrassed about their middle names, whether it be "Norman", "Keith", or "Thunder". ------------------ "And Mojo was hurt and I would have kissed his little boo boo but then I realized he was a BAD monkey so I KICKED HIM IN HIS FACE!" -Bubbles [This message has been edited by PsyLiam (edited February 14, 2001).]

It is quote: October 23, 2000 Though it has been known for months courtesy of the Internet rumormill, Renaissance Films has finally confirmed that Terry Gilliam will direct the big screen version of Good Omens. Based on the book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, the film will have a budget in the $50M range, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film will be shot in the UK, with a scheduled starting date of late 2001.

Yeah, but notice that's from 4 months ago. . . thing is, Gilliam's had his name attached to lots of cool projects that never happened - eg Watchmen. . .------------------ "I rather strongly disagree, even if I share the love of Dick.
