Holy crap: a good move! Things are looking brighter for November's election this morning.
The two Johns....I see a hooker scandal in their future...
Your thoughts?

I can scarcely contain my excitement!!
Actually, which one was Edwards again? A-level revision has forced most of the stuff I read about this during the primaries out of my head

CNN reports that The New York Post mistakenly ran an early edition proclaiming that Gephardt was the choice....
D'OH!

I just saw the "Today Show" and they had Wil Ferrell in his "Anchorman" get up, reading the New York Post and commenting on its "excellent journalism." Hilarious!
This is a great move by Kerry, because Edwards is certainly better than Gephardt. He is young, intelligent, and charismatic. And I cannot WAIT to see him debate Dick Cheney!

Edwards is a first-term Democratic Senator from North Carolina. He looks VERY young for his age.
Liz is going to use this as evidence to kill me ... but Edwards' oldest son, Wade, was killed in '96 when his Jeep was flipped (I think he was driving it during a tornado or something - not sure).

That should make a useful tool in the senate - "Look, I just chatted with Thomas Jefferson, and HE said ..."

I'd much rather have the honors done by an errant log through your windshield, launched from a semi with loose strapping.
(Also you should totally ask Liz out because your weener seems all hard)

Wow. You and Omega FINALLY have something in common!
Look, I'm sorry that you're still living in your mom's basment, that you were turned down for a date to the prom, fired from your job, were in a car accident, insulted on the street, mugged, robbed, arrested, raped, shot, failed miserably and completely at your life, or that your dad liked to play with your genitals when you were five fucking years old.
Whatever it is that happened to you that makes you completely incapable of a little, normal, social interaction - I'm SORRY! I'm sorry it happened to you. I'm sorry that you never post anything worthwhile, only these disgusting little tirades that play at being satirical when in fact they're just very very VERY sad. I truly am very saddened at the result of whatever tragedy (pick one from the above) occured to you.

So "normal, social interaction" = A Star Trek messageboard, you say?
Also, I am offended.
Also, I suppose I have failed at my life. I don't have two marvellous and important pizzaboy jobs, and a lego fetish.
Maybe I will go make a pizza pie and see what life is really about.

No. "Normal, social interaction" = not turning EVERYTHING into a hateful or sacastic remark.

Sort of the reaction I was going for.

Here's the thing. I don't think anyone here can tell when you're being serious or not. If I was to ask someone, "Is UM being sincere in this post?" (and this in regards to any of your posts), I think the answer would be "I think he's trying to be funny."

Sure, my life isn't what I expected it to be. But I'm not ashamed of what I do for a living. And I don't lie about it. Have I failed? I prefer to look upon it as that I still have three quarters of a century to improve upon it.

(I am never serious, even when I say I am, ever except for this one second diversion, then I will continue with my nuisance)
I thought you wanted to be a writer, and from what I remember it wasn't like you were trying to build a house on a foundation of sand. I just hope you haven't lost the desire to not settle.
(But, back to normal: Dude, totally you're are like humping a jeep or shit.)

Why is it right when I want to kill this fucker ... I suddenly remember why I love him so much?
I'm an ass. And I'm sorry UM, I shouldn't have said that stuff to you. I hope you can forgive me.
