That pretty much sums it up. Yeah, I'd be more worried about the unfair stereotyping if every damned Republican I'd met/listened to didn't preach just that.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of radical left-wing douchebags as well, but that really doesn't change anything.

The problem with extreme left wingers is that most right wingers tend to associate them across the entire left wing spectrum. So that every left winger, no matter how closer to centre they can be, is termed "extreme" by most, if not all right wingers.
At least, that's what I have observed, it appears that it is morbidly evil to be left wing....
I tend not to put all right-wingers in the same boat. After all, I do share some of their views, I do consider myself closer to centre then left....

Of course, a lot of the most vocal left-bashers are so far to the right that the center really is extremely left of them.
