Has anyone else been paying attention to this party? I contemplated earlier in the summer whether there was or could be a political party based primarily on technical and IP issues. Behold!

They just want your money... The little speech was good and all, but c'mon, the "Pirate Party"?
I guess it's a apt name since it the whole thing has 'scam' written all over it.

It's no such thing, and the american version is a spawn of Sweden's pirate party, which is connected with several anti-lobbying groups and civil rights projects.
It's developing into quite a debacle here in Sweden, the spokespeople of the other parties have had to change their tunes to try and compensate for the Pirate Party's success among the gen. X:ers. I can't say I haven't thought about giving them my vote, only 70 days left now.

I say we put ALL political parties on board a "Flying Dutchman" and send them on a little cruise.
