What's TAS?

Is it the animated series? Cuz I can only remember that they showed it every now and then on nickelodeon soooo long ago.

V'Ger!

Its not operated by 'fleet
its spacebourne
it was constructed - in part
it was only in TMP
it is too big to fit in the TOS spacedock
it is inhabited by V'Ger itself...

Yeah, but it's only been in one ST production that I can think of.

Genesis
a)was not built or operated by Starfleet.
b)has(had) it's own artificial lifeforms eg)thingy that attacked Kruge.
c)it's within Omega's timeline.
d)it sure as hell cannot fit inside a spacedock, now or in TOS!
e)it was in two of the films, but never shown in any series.
f)it was constructed by accident by Khan with the Geness Device.
g)and I think most planets are spaceborne. Hang on, I'd better check.

Well, thing that attacked Kruge was actually just a super-evolved bacterium. However, the planet did have trees and such which were indigenous...

Is it the Bajoran wormhole (with the 'Prophets' being the life-forms)??

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

Altair - we have already determined that it was from between the Cage and The first part of Generations...

And now we know it is from the movie era... So the Wormhole Aliens don't count.

Can't fit in TOS spacedock

It has been in more than one Trek production

Not constructed or operated by 'fleet

spaceborn

constructed - at least in part

hasn't been in both TV and Film

Between the Cage and the first part of Generations

Inhabited by creatures that are alive - including artificial lifeforms

Not Genesis or V'Ger

Not Yonda

Not a planet

not from TOS TV.

hmmmm

So that leaves TMP, TWOK, TSFS, TVH, TFF, TUC first part of Generations.

I don't think anything fits - it has to be in (2) of the TOS movies/Generations first part - but not appear on TV - including TOS

not from Starfleet and constructed in part. And inhabited. and not a planet.

can't fit in the TOS spacedock

so its large, in two movies and isn't part of starfleet... but not a planet.

(I assume by planet he means planetoid - i.e. planet/moon/asteroid)

I don't know.

I'll ignore Altair's question.

But you're making some unwarranted assumptions, Andrew. Go back and look at the EXACT wording of my answers. There're some important differences between them and what you're working with.

That's all I'm saying.

Uhm.. Before 'Genetarions' there were 2 1/2 seasons of DS9... And DS9 has been seen in 'The Next Generation'. And in that episode the Wormhole was mentioned...

Anyways: Thanks for being a sport, and ignoring the question Omega. I didn't want to ruin things...

Altair: You're misinterpreting what we're saying. By saying "the first act of Generations", we mean the part with the E-B. What we're saying is it's from the TOS Movie-era. Act I of "Generations" takes place in the TOS Movie-era. Does that clear it up a bit?

The Probe from ST:IV comes to mind........... but it wasn't in any other production.....

Unless he's throwing us for a curve and that the SSA is not found inside a TOS spacedock, the Bird of Prey in STIII and STIV come to mind, as it won't go inside a TOS spacedock (it would get blown to smithereens before it gets there......)

We have a winner, ladies and gentlemen!

It is, indeed, spacedock.

Now I'm sure Frank is going to come up with something even more insidious.

That is stupid - it is run by starfleet and in ENTIRELY constructed...

The Spacedock can fit inside the Spacedock cause it IS the spacedock...

Andrew, I refer you to the original content of the questions and answers.

"Is it a Starfleet ship?"

"3: No, it is not a ship constructed or operated by 'Fleet."

Spacedock is not a ship as used it context of the question.

"Hmm...was it constructed at all?"

"4: Yes, it was constructed, at least in part"

I interpreted the wording "at all" to mean in any part. I also asked Frank if that's what he meant. It was. You seem to have assumed that "at least in part" meant "only in part".

As for Spacedock fitting inside spacedock, that's someting like saying a steel box with inch-thick sides can fit inside an identical box. It can't.
