First Question:
Several Star Trek characters can play musical instruments. Who are these characters and what instruments do they play?
This only counts for recurring cast only(more than 5 episodes).
1 point each.

Since I'm not sure about Voyager(haven't seen a new one for about a year and a half), I need a Voyager voyeur to verify The Harry Kim/Nicoletti duet(that is, if she played in more than 5 episodes) and her instrument.
Garak has 6 points for 6 correct answers.
Prakesh has 1 point for 1 correct answer.
Starbuck has 1 point, with another point pending.
When I get word, I'll post the next question.

You are wise, witty, and wonderful, but you spend far too much time reading this sort of trash.
What Star Trek main characters have we seen die?
And to prevent a gouging, there's a limit of 3 correct answers per person, as Altair had it.
Elim Garak: 4
Starbuck: 2

Elim Garak: 4 + 2

Did Mirror Brunt die?

So, there was Data in "Time's Arrow".
And, even though we didn't see them individually, there was the whole TNG cast in Generations, before the timeline changed. But that probably doesn't count.
And Troi died briefly in, uh... was it "Man of the People"? Whatever the one was where the mediator guy was dumping all his bad feelings into her brain...
And Torres half-died in "Faces", when her Klingon part kicked off.

sorry its been answered but I HAD to correct a few things
------------------
"Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love." - Stand Inside Your Love, The Smashing Pumpkins
La Forge and Ro were pronounced dead in "The Next Phase" for a time.
------------------

I won't accept Kai Winn for that matter too.
Sorry, First of Two, those guys aren't 'main' characters, but were only in a few episodes. Damar and Weyoun for the Dukat reason as well.
TSN, I will accept Data and Troi. I am not going to accept the Generations crew or Voyager crew because I believe you didn't actually see them die, but rather their ships blowing up.
I will take Worf. In fact, I was thinking of him too.
And O'Brien
I'll take Janeway, if she they showed her die on screen(again my voyager knowledge is a bit short), and Neelix and Torres as well. These points are pending.
Alright, I will tally up the score after my classes, which is around 12pm EST. New question then. SOmeone else verify AndrewR's points please?

Do dreams of people dying count ("Barge of the Dead"), because they arguably didn't die? In any reality.
And Sisko isn't dead. He is "dead."

Smack me next time something like that happens.
Andrew get 2 points for his belated answer, but from now on the answers must come before the next question for them to count.
Mark Leonard is correct! Starbuck gets a point.
The next question is:
What distinctly non-humanoid creatures have shown up in Star Trek?
Elim Garak: 4 +1 = 5
Starbuck: 2 +1 = 3
AndrewR: +2+1 = 3
Prakesh: 1 = 1

Well, since these multi-answer questions I seem to mess up too much, I think I'm going to go specific.
Easy question:
What/who do these three phrases symbolize, and why are they signifigant to it?
Oh my.

Andrew, I was conintuing it in the fashion of Altair's trivia contest... One person asks the questions and tallies points. But, the questions can't be difficult(hence the "Non-geek" in the title). You're welcome to start one up if you wish. I'm done for now.
