I was wondering if anyone knew a sight with pictures of sci-fi weapons.

Well, there are quite a few. Here are a bunch of URLS. Some have pictures of actual studio props, most others are recasts. You said you wanted SCI-FI and not just Trek so I have identified the different sites for you.
www.racprops.com - Richard Coyle's site for Blade Runner, TOS phaser and disruptor, Logan's Run, Lightsabers, and the blaster from "Forbidden Planet". Richard does excellent in-depth research on every prop on his page. This site is 5-star.
www.collectorsempire.com/parts/Main.htm - The Parts of Star Wars - Another 5-star site with research on what bits and pieces were used to make every prop or weapon seen in Star Wars. There is absolutely TONS of info and pictures here with seperate sections for Episodes 1, 4, 5, and 6
www.alles.or.jp/~itohs/ - Star Trek Props - Features a gallery of personally owned Trek props. If you want great pictures of every prop or phaser seen on any version of Trek, go here. Also features links to other prop-related sites.
www.swfans.net/props/ - Star Wars Replica Props site- Specialising in Star Wars, this site is 5-star. Very similar to Parts of Star Wars, it contains details and research into what parts were used throughout the saga to construct blasters, lightsabers, communicatiors, etc. An extra plus - there is also a forum for discussion of the building and collection of replica SW items.
www.chrispappas.com/Galactica/ - Galactica site by Chris Pappas. Good site with photos of costumes and prop weapons.
www.b5tech.com/index.htm - B5 Online Tech Manual - Everything B5 including a good closeup of a PPG pistol and rifle.
www.bright.net/~wolvie/PPG.htm - Wolvie's B5 site. He sells replicas of B5 stuff including a very accurate PPG model. Good closeups. His PPG is actually cleaner than the original.
http://members.aol.com/ltsnowball/battlestar.htm Galactica site by JK2 Costumers. Good photo of Colonial Blaster and costumes. The company seems to be defunct, but the site is still around.
www.loop.com/~cyproduction/index.html - CY Productions retail site with pics of Space 1999 stun gun.
http://members.aol.com/EDCstudios/edcmenu.htm EDC Props retail site featuring Blade, Blade Runner, Logan's Run, and Star Wars props. Only place you can buy an all-metal blaster rifle or pistol. Great closeups of the props he makes. His shop is temorarily closed while he looks for a new studio, but the pics are still there.
www.movieprop.com/index.htm - Movieprop site - massive links page. You can find just about everything here. It will take a little while to look around, but there is a wealth of info on props and prop-collecting. Take your time here, and you're sure to find what you're looking for.
www.geocities.com/Area51/Shire/2503/props.html - Star Wars Replica Prop Page - Like the name suggests, the photos here are of replicas, but most are very accurate and authentic-looking. Extreme close-ups on many photos.
www.starland.com/ - Starland's Online magazine and catalog - Big retail organisation. The prop section is mostly Trek and you can find good photos of weapon replicas supposedly produced by the actual show-biz prop-makers. If your're looking to buy, they're not cheap, but the photos are good reference material and should be 100% accurate.
www.leenet.demon.co.uk/phaser/intro.htm Starfleet Weapons and Tactics webpage - Personal webpage offering a tech-manual dissertation on the function and capabilities of various Starfleet weapons throughout "history." No closeups of props here. There are computer graphic illustations of the weapons and screen shots of the weapons being used by various personnel. Fun site.

I hope this helps. I did a lot of this research some time ago and had all of these sites bookmarked. If there's something in particular you need a photo of, let me know and I can either e-mail it to you or post a URL for the exact location of the picture you need.

Well... that should keep him busy for the next month or so...

Information sources galore... I'd almost think you were a librarian!
